April stuck the first of her collection of sticky notes on the wall of the hallway outside her door. She tended to do this a lot, the only way she communicated with real people was through the note system.
She'd write a note, sometimes addressed to a certain person and she'd attach them to a wall or some other place where the intended reader was bound to look. This time though; she didn't know anyone so she simply stuck notes addressing strangers on the walls around her rooms door. She didn't have a room mate yet, which was a huge relief. She didn't like to share with other people.
The second was a compliment. She liked people, but you wouldn't know it from the way she acted. She liked to see different people's hair styles mainly, her own was long curled and bubblegum pink; and it was incredibly eye-catching.
She stood with a handful of square shaped notes she had taken from the front secretary desk succesfully on one of her trips; although they had seen her take them, they let her keep them. She'd refused normal paper, she only liked to use sticky notes that were brightly colored.
She stuck this one on the white doorframe of her room. It was early afternoon, and she had just gotten back from lunch. Lunch had to be both the worst and the best part of the day, she got to eat and drink juice but she also had to socialise. Well, pretend to or something. Just sitting there was fine by her; but she didn’t like to be watched. Which was odd, because her look did catch a lot of attention. Her bubble gum pink hair was the type you could see from a mile away!
She sat down in the hallway, balancing a pencil (they’d refused to give her pens) And a stack of sticky notes on her knee. She nibbled on the pencil as she pondered on what to right. April never self harmed with sharps, so she wasn’t in any danger with a damn pencil. She didn’t self harm at all actually, she just scratched her arms really bad with her nails because she was told by the voices there were bugs under her skin. They influenced her life heavily, of course. And she only ever spoke to herself or the voices in her mind.
"I don't know what to write next." She said, with a dainty little sigh. The voices didn't answer. "Drat. Kelly must be sleeping." April groaned, shaking her head twice. Kelly, was the 'person' inside her mind whom she listened to. She liked Kelly, even if Kelly was the reason she was sent to the Asylum in the first place. It was Kelly who made her attack the girl, it was Kelly who made her lose the baby. It was all Kelly's fault! And it made her so frustrated and so sad.. But nonetheless, Kelly was her best friend.
